How does a scroll compressor work? 

Scroll compressors uses the circular motion of two spiral-shaped scrolls to compress air. One scroll remains in place, while the other orbits. As one scroll orbits the other, air becomes trapped. This creates air pockets that shrink and squeeze the air towards the centre of the scrolls and maintains a consistent compression process. As the scrolls operate without direct contact, there is less friction between components, which reduces wear and noise.
